Window Extrusion

GaMra has been involved in the Window treatment industry for over 15 years. This started when a very large window blind manufacture in 2008 asked for a two week timeline for two new PVC parts for a critical product launch. GaMra had just installed their first wire EDM and produced the two parts that were OKed on the extrusion line and immediately went into 24/7 production to meet the critical timelime. To assure absolute tolerance control GaMra purchased their first Bytewise laser measurement system in 2009.  As a result of this successful launch and GaMra’s management of the entire supply chain to manage and control inventories they were awarded a Supplier Excellence Award at the customers supplier conference in 2011.

Since that time GaMra has produced millions of feet of product made from resins such as:

• Rigid PVC

• ABS

More recently GaMra has developed low cost, high temperature “blind slat” materials that will soon be the standard for horizontal blinds. These materials have:

• High strength to weight ratio.

• High temperature performance to assure no sagging in dark colors.

• Non PVC
