2000
GaMra ( Greg and Mikes Rebel Alliance) was Founded
Created on the concept of developing continuous glass strand structural thermoplastic materials for the fenestration market. This would provide increased tensile and flexural strengths over chopped glass fiber at a reduced cost.
The company was initially located in Baldwin, Wisconsin and employed only four employees.
2003
GaMra made a strategic investment in acquiring a 3 ½” Thermatic extrusion line.
2005
The company began development of the high strength thermoplastic parts and in fact had a major program with a large window manufacture and a spring reinforcement for a loading dock seal.
2006
GaMra moves from Baldwin to 2909 Harvey Street in Hudson. Allowing plenty of room for future expansion.
2007
Co-Founder Mike Leaves Company
2008
Expansion of in house tooling, Including Lathe, Surface Grinder, Band Saw and a Wire EDM Allowing for faster turn arounds and developments, would prove instrumental in GaMra’s Growth.
2009
Purchased two new extrusion lines
Purchased a state of the art Laser Measurement System creating shorter start up times and Continuous quality checks to ensure the best for our customers.
2010
GaMra acquires another Extrusion line
Hiring more staff bring the total of employees to 14
2013
Expansion to 9 Extrusion lines with laser measuring systems on each.
Expansion of Tool Shop with another EDM and Haas CNC Vertical Mill.
2015
Employing 20 Staff
A fabrication department was created for products that need secondary work done off line.
2017
GaMra Built out a new Facility at 3000 Harvey street, Including Larger Office Space, A Quality Control Lab, Full tool shop, Fabrication, And maintenance shop.
2019
GaMra Invests in 3D printing with 9 machines to help with prototypes, Developments, and making production parts.
2020
Expands tool shop with a 3rd EDM machine and another Haas CNC for faster Development.
GaMra Purchases 2 twin screw extruders a 72MM Parallel and a 55mm Conical. Bringing the total amount of Production lines to 12.
2023
We acquire a thermal chamber measuring 9ftx16.6ft to test conditions ranging from -20° F up to 175° F.
GaMra purchases 4th axis equipment for CNC, allowing us to mill multiple faces with out moving the piece in the fixture. Not only does the 4th access allow for better efficiency but also better accuracy.
